ABOUT NCHCMM
Since 2007, the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing & Media has annually grown in its mission to advance the practice of public health communications. This unique conference brings together individuals representing academia, public health researchers and practitioners from federal and state government, as well as industry leaders and experts, to provide a forum for collegial dialogue within and across these groups. The conference aims to provide attendees with a learning environment where innovative ideas and new approaches to advance the field of health communication, marketing, and media are shared.
2025 CONFERENCE HOSTS
The National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) is the premier network of public health communicators in the United States and U.S. territories. We are committed to “making public health public” by sharing our knowledge, expertise, and resources to effectively communicate about the critical health issues of the day – helping people lead healthier lives in healthier communities.
Many of our members represent state and local health departments, whether as directors of communication, health marketing specialists, risk communication specialists, community relations specialists, or some related specialty. Others represent tribal nations, corporate communications, and academia—we even have student members.
All of us work together to collaborate with other health leaders to ensure that we can help promote wellness and reduce the incidence of illness, injury, and premature death. We hope you will consider joining us if you still need to become a member.
The Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) is a learning and information hub for professionals who communicate about public health. Through relevant, timely, and practical communications tools and learning opportunities, we advance a public health system where everyone has what they need to make informed decisions about their health.
PHCC was formed in August 2020 by the CDC Foundation, the de Beaumont Foundation, and Trust for America’s Health to provide unbiased communication about the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, PHCC has grown to include new partners and broadened our mission beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. We create and amplify practical resources, messaging, and learning opportunities for public health communicators designed to address public health issues, build public confidence, and identify and counter misinformation. Our practical resources and training tools are directly informed by public health communicators on the front lines of their communities and designed to address their evolving needs.
